WHERE:  Truro, MA and Provincetown, MA

EVENT: We will spend three days doing an intimate photographic study of Truro and Provincetown, exploring and capturing the charm and beauty of the area.

PLANS:  We will explore in small groups and in a casual manner the many beaches and natural land formations of Truro /North Truro. We will not follow a strict itinerary, but rather will wander where the coastal breezes blow us.  A resource list of information will be provided. Our subjects will include: sunrises and sunsets; the dunes; views from cliffs; lighthouses; the ocean under different lighting; low tide pools and sand ripples; the effects of the winter wind; coastal vegetation; any surf action if there is wind; the charming center of Provincetown with its shops, cute buildings, fences, piers, Pilgrim Monument; candids of the locals, and more.

LODGING: A tri-level rental home in Truro which is 5 minutes from the closest beach and only 10 minutes from Provincetown. There are 3 bathrooms. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 large ones on the middle or driveway level (with king size beds for any couples, or we will bring air mattresses or comfy cots to make each room a double.) There’s a small walkout apartment with a kitchen that sleeps 2 on the lower level. (It isn’t in a basement, though, as the property slopes down from the driveway and the lower apartment has a slider to the yard.)

The awesome feature of the third level is its very open 2nd-floor space with a living room, fireplace, long 8-chair dining table, and modern kitchen! It’s perfect place for all of us to be together to eat and party. There are sliders on each side of the fireplace widows for lots or airy light and they open to a wide balcony with views toward the bay to the west for sunsets.

AMENITIES: 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fireplace, microwave, full kitchen, towels, bed linens, shampoo, WiFi, wide screen TV, coffee maker, washer/dryer, etc. (More to follow with the full trip details.)

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: We will leave CT early Saturday morning, have lunch close to Truro, and visit some beaches and photograph. CHECK-IN is at 4:00 pm.  We leave the house by 12:00 noon on Monday, but can continue to do some photography in the area or stop along the way down the Cape.

KEEPING COSTS LOW:  We will carpool to share gas. We will bring snacks and beverages as well as breakfast items to eat at the house (and possibly lunch items like clam chowder, soups, sandwiches, etc.) We will eat dinners in Provincetown together.
